WHAT IS PLYWOOD?

Plywood consists of film-faced plywood panels formed by pressing thin layers of wood under high pressure.

Film-faced concrete formwork plywood, known in the industry as Plywood, is manufactured from durable woods such as pine, beech and birch.

The glue used in making plywood is a water- and moisture-resistant marine (WBP) glue.

The outer surfaces of the plywood are faced with kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin imported from Finland.

Although plywood has very good mechanical strength, it is a lightweight material. The number of layers is generally produced as an odd number.

The outer layers are generally parallel to the long dimension of the panel. Successive layers are glued perpendicular to one another. This method of production creates a structure that increases strength and resists shock effects caused by vibration. Construction is more sound and more efficient with plywood. Thanks to its extensive reusability, it is also more economical, and in many places it eliminates plastering costs. In addition, it provides significant time savings in the formwork decking times of construction projects.
